This is totally true.  If your finances are out of wack, so is something else.  Maybe you feel that to be someone you need to buy expensive things, maybe you have marriage problems and your money is manifesting that, maybe you are unorganized and need to get your bills and budget together, or maybe you are just being childish and need to tell yourself no.
